Alejandro "Fede" Federico Zaragoza

Alejandro "Fede" Federico Zaragoza, an adored father, son, brother, uncle, and friend whose infectious warmth and passion for life touched everyone he met, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 43.

Fede was born on December 2, 1981, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He spent his early years in his vibrant hometown of Villa Adelina attending high school there, where his community spirit and signature bright personality shone. Seeking greater opportunities, Fede moved to the United States in 2007. He successfully built a life for himself, establishing and running a thriving painting business thanks to his sheer grit and drive.

Fede’s whole world was his two sons, Alexis and Nico. He loved nothing more than being with them and sharing what brought him joy. The outdoors was Fede's go-to spot. Whether he was fishing, ATVing, or camping, he was happiest when surrounded by nature. His favorite place, however, was always the water, spending countless hours out on his boat.

A true Argentinian at heart, Fede's other great passion was soccer. His loyalty to the Argentine club team River Plate was lifelong. He was often found out on the field, playing and celebrating with family and friends. Fede was also renowned for his legendary “asados”, spending hours grilling and sharing his famous barbecue with a crowd—it was his favorite way to bring people together.

Fede's joy could be felt by everyone around him. His warm personality, generous spirit, and profound love of life were his defining traits. 

Fede is predeceased by his father, Victor Carlos Hipolito Zaragoza. 

He is survived by his cherished sons, Alexis and Nicolas; his devoted mother Luisa V. Mohlinger of Argentina; his former wife Angie Dixox of New Britain, CT; his brother Sebastian Zaragoza of Argentina; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. 

A visitation will be held Friday from 4-7 pm with his celebration of life homecoming at 7pm  at the All Faith Memorial Chapel 90 John Fitch Blvd, South Windsor, CT.
