Akbar Ali

Akbar Ali, born March 26th, 1955, as George W. Crawford JR. (known as “Chucky”), departed this world on January 19, 2026. He was 70 years old when he passed. Chucky was raised in Hartford and Waterbury CT. Growing up, Chucky was a very gifted child. He was a great artist and had a strong passion for birds and squirrels. He took pride in knowing an extensive amount of vocabulary and the meaning/definitions of each word. He was very dapper when he stepped out. He had his own style and didn't care to keep up with others.

He was the oldest son of Iola Crawford and the late George Crawford Sr. Chucky leaves behind 11 siblings - 9 sisters and 2 brothers: Winifred, Jaqueline, Colleen, Christine, (Matt), Mary (Junior), Linda, Martha, Elayne, Rachelle (Joe), Todd, and Paul (Felicia).

He was predeceased by his sisters: Lenora, Elizabeth, and Krystal.

He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins
