Music by The Piano Brothers

Kwaku Amponsah, 28, a resident of East Hartford, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning Aug 12, 2021, in Yale Smillow Cancer hospital. He was born in Kumasi, Ghana to Mother Elizabeth Amponsah and Father Evans Amponsah Asubonteng. Kwaku Amponsah was a very strong, charismatic, loving, jovial young man. He loved music, fashion and being with his friends and family. He was very forgiving, he had no hate in his heart. He was genuinely a good person, he wanted the best for people. He was very patient but he would also chastise anyone he thought was out of line to look out for their best interest. He had a sense of humor. He liked to make fun of his friends, he would dish it out but he could take it too.

Funeral service with military burial will be held at 9 am, Saturday, Aug 21 2021 at the All Faith Memorial Chapel, 90 John Fitch Blvd. South Windsor, CT. Interment will be at the Silver Lane Cemetery, 1280 Silver Ln, East Hartford, CT.  After service visiting will be held in the Amponsah family home 225 Larrabee street, East Hartford CT.

Kwaku was one of my soldiers, he always brought light into any room he entered. He seemed to lead with a smile, clear eyed and thoughtful. I am lucky enough to have been graced with his presence. My deepest condolences to his friends and family. CPT Jamie Cuticello

If you wanted someone to volunteer and help you on Drills, Amponsah was the right person to ask. He was always helpful and considerate. I remember messing with him and having much laugher duing Annual Trainings and Drills. He is also a Brother in Christ and I want to encourage His family with these verses from1Cor. 15:

"50- I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. 53For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. 54When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written:
“Death is swallowed up in victory.”
55“O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?”
56The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain."

To the Amponsah Family and Love Ones; God knows, and He Cares. You are in my prayers.

Deepest sympathies for your loss. Did not know this young man but seems like a good man and much too young to be taken away. God Bless you and keep you in your time of sorrow.
