Mrs. Lois Jacobs Cole, 90 of Hartford, CT departed this life on Wednesday, April 15, 2020. She was born in Seville Florida.     Lois was a devoted Christian and loved member of the New Mount Moriah Baptist Church. She was a beloved resident of Hartford, CT for over 60 years. Lois was employed by Home Care Inc. and retired in 1998. She dedicated her free time as an active member of the Democratic Progressive Women’s League. Lois enjoyed cooking, shopping, and helping others. She led by example. There was never a job too large or too small that she would not tackle. She will be remembered for her love of god and family. Lois is predeceased by her Husband David Cole, Sons Leonard, Andrew, and Jerome Jacobs. Sisters; Lula, Ruth, Juanita, and Lillian. Brother; Otis, Lewis, Earnest, Carl, and William. She leaves to cherish her memories her Daughter Wanda Jacobs of Wethersfield Ct. Sister Pearl Reese, of Rochester New York and Brother Robert Reese of Seville Florida. Sister in laws Erma Reese, Bernice Reese, and Della Reese. Grandchildren Brittany Jacobs, Traceston Newton, Lawrence Jacobs, and Jerome Jacobs, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Lois was a strong, determined and fiercely independent woman. Lois loved her family immensely. Her generosity always brought joy and happiness to others. Lois will be greatly missed every day by those who had the pleasure of experiencing her love.  

                                                                                                   Due to the current public health crisis, a private funeral will take place on Wednesday April 29, 2020, with a memorial service to be held a future date.
