Violet Josephine Tucker, 109, affectionally known as Nana or Aunt Vie, of Windsor, CT passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 10th, 2018, surrounded by family and friends. She was born on December 29, 1908 in Westmoreland, Jamaica W.I.  She immigrated to the U.S. in the early 50’s and pursued a career as a cook until she retired in 1985. She was predeceased by her husband, Leslie Tucker, and her son, George Jackson. She is survived by her sister Catherine Lisle and husband Rosco of the UK, daughter Mryna Tucker, daughter-in-law Iona Jackson, grandchildren Michael Perry and wife Pamela, Robert Perry and wife Somerth, Joseph Jackson, Marcia Jackson of the UK, Julie Ramirez, Angela Jackson and Wayne Jackson. She was fortunate to have many great grand and great-great grandchildren and a host of other beloved family and friends. A celebration of Violet’s life will be held on Friday, January 26th at 10:00 A.M, Immanuel Congregational Church, 10 Woodland St. Hartford, CT.  Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield, CT.

Dear Michael and Family,
So Sorry to hear of your recent loss. She sounds like a wonderful woman who had a rich history and a large family. My condolences go out to you and your extended family. May she rest in peace until you meet again. Danette and family.
