The life of George E. Williams, affectionately known as “Bip” by his family and friends, ended on June 14, 2014 after a long and hard fought battle. George was a strong, vibrant, independent, and hard working man that never let on if things in his life were going less than perfect.

George, the youngest son of George and Sylvester (Rogers) Williams was born on October 27, 1948 in Lowndes County, Alabama.  After reaching adulthood, George relocated to Hartford, Connecticut where he remained in the Hartford area until his demise. George worked as a welder for Dyco Industries for over 20 years.

Throughout his life, Bip met and was a very good friend to many people. He loved fishing and enjoyed life in general with a special love for the outdoor world.

George was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Susie Pearl and Lola D. Williams and his son, Michael Williams.

Left to cherish his life and love are his two daughters, Anessa Clark, Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Tina Williams, East Hartford, Connecticut; one sister, Rosie L. (Paul) Dunklin, (Selma, Alabama); two brothers, Johnny (Dorothy) Williams, (Mobile, Alabama) and David (Ora Lee) Williams, (Selma, Alabama); his five grandchildren, Anthony Williams, Carlton Thomas, Aniese Thomas, Tiana Pinnock, and Shaneece Jack;  his former wife and cherished friend Caroline Williams; a special cousin James Nelson Smith; a host of nieces, nephews,  relatives and countless remembering friends and loved ones.

George quietly had many accomplishments but not a single one trumped time with family and friends. He grasped the beauty of being rich in people and embraced every friend who was part of his life.
No doubt, George would expect all of us who mourn his life to find a way forward, with renewed commitment to making the world a better place.

To me Bip you are one of a kind . A friend I could count on. We enjoyed going fishing, going to the car races, shooting pool , and some times we went to breakfast. Sometimes we sat in the plaza , shoot the bull ,and have a little sip.I never once seen you complain . George Bip Williams ( GOD BLESS YOU ) for being my friend. GOD BLESS YOU and your family .
